Here are the steps to make for good reading sub titles with VLC media player:
- Launch VLC Media Player
- Drag your avi movie to VLC
- When it starts playing, click on "Video"
- Click on "Subtitle track"
- Click on "Load File"
- Browse the .srt subtitle file
- Click open
Then the subtitle will appear!
